We have added a nutrition page to the website following a recent presentation that you may find of interest.

Some nutritionally beneficial recipes for training & performance have been sourced following this presentation which we are hoping to pull together as a fundraiser but no recipe book would be complete without some treats, so please share with us your tried & tested family favourite recipes, of any kind, and we can include these to tempt some of the wider public to buy one of our books for club funds.

 

Club Championships..

Here are a couple of dates for your diaries/calendars:

Our next internal competition, the Club Champs will be held over 2 Friday evenings on 21st November and 5th December in place of normal swim training. There won't be any land training on these dates to accommodate all age groups taking part. Further information on the club champs and details of how to enter will follow nearer the time but all swimmers are encouraged to compete in our internal competitions and cheer on their team mates.

Swim Training over the holidays

There will be no Sunday swim training over the October holidays so Sundays 12th and 19th October are cancelled.

Training carries on as normal on Mondays and Wednesdays for those who usually swim on those days.

Swim training on Fridays 17th and 24th October will be from:

  • 4-5.30 (Bronze and Silver)
  • 5.30-7.00 (Gold squad)
  • 4.45 – 7pm (Gold Elite)

Swimmers should be on poolside for dynamic flex 15minutes before the start of their session.

Land Training over the holidays

Land training resumes on Friday 10th October (at normal time).  Wednesday land training remains at the usual time over the holidays. Swimmers who normally do land training on a Friday have slightly revised times in the holiday weeks:

Friday land training for Group 1 is from 3.15 – 3.45 on 17th and 24th October.

Friday land training for Group 2 is from 3.45 – 4.30 on 17th and 24th October.

Indoor Land Training after the holidays

The swimmers invited to the land sessions are as follows:

Wednesday Night Land Training, 5.00pm – 5.45pm, Boys Brigade Hut, Nairn Old Parish Church.
Starts Wednesday 29th October.

Daniel, Oliver, Graeme, Brooke, Adam, Jacob, Madaline, Bethan, Morven, Melissa, Annabel, Hamish, Lucy, Sally, Abi S, Zoe A.

Nairn Academy is not available on Friday October 31st, so land training will be outside on this night, with the usual summer times for groups. Indoor training starts on Friday 7th November.

Charging for land training

Each session will be charged at £3 per swimmer, and this will be on the basis that training is available, whether or not the swimmer is able to attend. If you do NOT want your child to take part in the land training programme please reply to the club, otherwise we will assume that your child wishes to take part and the land fees will be added to your monthly swimming bill. As there is a demand for land sessions non attendance or late arrival to more than 3 consecutive sessions without notification to the club may mean reallocation of a place.

Help please!

We need a rota of parents to help at the 4pm session (and take a register). Please could you volunteer to draw this rota up, and also help with a rota of a few parents to help transport children down to the pool? We need this to help the land training run smoothly, please email the club if you can help, thanks.
