The club were informed by Scottish Swimming today (8th December 2014) that we have been awarded the highly acclaimed swiMark plus accreditation. The award demonstrates that the club are leading the way in setting new standards for swimming in the community including strong coaching and effective management structures.

swiMark is Scottish Swimming's national quality accreditation programme for clubs and swim schools. swiMark plus is the highest accreditation awarded and successful achievement confirms that NDASC has demonstrated a commitment to creating a sustainable swimming development pathway, operates a safe, effective and child friendly club whilst providing a service in the community that children and young people, their parents/carers, and others with an interest in swimming can trust.

NDASC are the first swimming club in the Highlands to be swiMark plus accredited.

Are you interested in helping the club by becoming a technical official?..
03 November 2014

Forres Bluefins have arranged with Helen Guy a judge workshop on Sunday 14th December 2.30-4 at Forres Pool. Any Nairn parents are welcome to sign up for this. To register your interest, please email Kathryn McRitchie on bluefinssto@live.com. Please copy the NDASC club email in so we are aware of those interested. You do not need to have a background in swimming as all relevant guidance will be provided and you can qualify at your own pace. The more technical officials we have, the more likely that our internal meets can be accredited and provide official times for our swimmers. You can read more about the roles & responsibilities of technical officials in the "How Can I Get Involved" section of the Information for New Members page of this site.

If you do NOT want your child to take part in the land training programme please reply to the club, otherwise we will assume that your child wishes to take part and the land fees will be added to your monthly swimming bill. As there is a demand for land sessions non attendance or late arrival to more than 3 consecutive sessions without notification to the club may mean reallocation of a place.
