How do I join the Club?
Membership application forms are available here or please complete the online application form. Alternatively come along to Nairn Swimming Pool, Marine Road, Nairn on Club night. Friday 4:15pm until 7:15pm and ask at the desk.
There are sure to be people there who are involved with the Club or Parents of swimmers in the pool.
NDASC is open to all swimmers with an interest in competitive swimming.
The Club usually has a waiting list in operation as the number of members is limited by pool capacity and coaching staff available.
There is an entry swim test. The purpose of the test is to ensure that new members will have a positive experience at Club training sessions. If you have any questions about the Club, Coaching standards or membership please do not hesitate to contact us.
SWIM CLUB ENTRY TEST:
Under Coach Instruction:
2 x 50m of Front Crawl, Back Crawl and Breaststroke.
2 x 25m undulative kick on front or back without flotation aid.
2 x 25m of Front Crawl, Back Crawl and Breaststroke drill.
Perform basic sculling both feet and head first.
Perform a forward roll or F/C tumble turn if able.
Perform a head first entry into the water from the side or block.
Perform a correct, streamlined push and glide on front and back.
Demonstrate an ability to climb out of deep water unaided.
Demonstrate a willingness and ability to listen and be instructed.
